I have waited 9 months for this appointment and sat in the waiting area for 3 hours only to be told my notes are lost and they can't sedate me. The problem is I have paid for 2 nannys to look after my children and have had to take the day off work. I'm fuming the staff have been very nice and apologetic but this error of the dental department has effected me. No one else.
I needed a tooth extraction, and although the waiting list was surprisingly long (5 months), when the day came the whole procedure was very smooth and I was incredibly impressed with my treatment all round. The appointment was on time, and dentist and assistant were caring and clearly explained the procedure at each stage. I would like to thank the dentist and the assistant, as well as all the staff in the background who helped to make this procedure so smooth for me.
All I am trying to do is find simple info, eg opening times so that I can attend for an emergency dental check. My eyes are not as good as they used to be, and I'm in a bit of pain, but I can find nothing. Nothing. instead of all the rubbish you have on this site, try putting useful info on the first page so that potential patients can find it easily, or is that the point, hide the info, fewer patients.
The crew carried out a thorough examination on my elderly auntie - 97.1/2 years so efficiently and caring. The doctor taking her bloods which is difficult as her skin is like tissue was so quick and caused her little pain. Another crew member was so caring.
We had spent 12 hours in A&E Whipps Cross determining and carrying out the same examination albeit an intravenese was fitted there but I am sure the crew would have provided the same if need be.
Nothing could be improved, they assessed and dealt with the situation first class.
I am extremely disappointed with the service. What is more disappointing is that I specifically requested and in fact insisted that my dentist to refer me to Barts Health, which wasn't recommended by my dentist, because according to her: "they are not good". I was I was treated with by the most uncompassionate staffs. From cold reception welcome, to the oral max fax surgeon who basically said: "Sorry can't do anything for you". I have to specifically ask what will happen next and I still left the clinic feeling lost as what has just happened. All these referral waiting for weeks, only to hear someone say: "Sorry can't help." I can understand if they are unable to, but there isn't even any discussion as these are your next options...I have to ask what do I do next? No information!
I had to ask the receptionist for the feedback forms to say these comments, and surprisingly enough, they DO NOT have any forms available. Had to wait another 10 minutes while she looks for one, and in the end I suggested I can do it online as I saw it on one of the forms (for Oral Medicine-not Max Fax). This is on top of an hour waiting to be seen without even an apology that the clinic is running late. I do not mind the wait- it is not unusual now if you want NHS treatment- but to know that you are going to wait, and a bit apologetic that I took great care and commitment to come to my appointment on time, wasn't even appreciated.
It is a great disappointment that the service is utterly unacceptable- no reflection of the Trust's value- WeCare- my question is DO YOU?
the ambulance crew Billy, Keith and Paddy and the two doctors Dr Rob and Morgan were fantastic.
I was on 06/12/2017 for Angioplasty, done in an hour, surgeons ware great, did surgery smoothly and nurses are friendly and family atmosphere, with respect and dignity apart from two filipina nurses in 3A West Ward- SBH.
I'm grateful to team of hospital and ward too
Clearly explained I would have to wait (I was a walk in patient) once I was called in Julio was extremely helpful and highly competent. Wonderful.
The nurse Julio was very kind, pleasant and gentle and put me at ease. Thank you.
I attended clinic 8 pre-assessment SBH and I was very pleased with the treatment I received and the understanding of the specialist nurse who was very understanding and explained everything to me. I would certainly recommend Barts to other people. I haven't been a patient there before, and I was very impressed
